There are a lot of exciting changes inside Stowmarket RUFC ahead of the 2023/24 season, and one of those is a new coaching structure made up of 5 very talented individuals.
We would like to introduce James Ingle and welcome him to the club as he takes the position of Head of Coaching.
Whilst James will be responsible for the senior forwards, his role will also include the development of all coaching provision and he will work with coaches at all levels of the club. This appointment is a reflection of the club’s ambition to align it’s junior and senior sections, creating a clear pathway for coaches and players alike.
Since leaving school James signed a professional contract with Northampton Saints as a Back Rower. At Northampton he acquired 6 caps, playing across the Premiership, European Cup, and Challenge Cup. He enjoyed loans spells with Cambridge and Birmingham and Moseley RFC during this time, before finishing his career with as Captain with Bracknell RFC.
As a coach, James has experience coaching at Bishop's Stortford RFC (National 1) and Bury St Edmunds RFC (National 2) both as Forwards Coach. He also have the highest coaching qualification possible (Level 4) and continues to upskill and innovate his craft.
